Not every role produces tidy metrics

Client-facing, caregiving, and early-career roles often don't come with sales figures or conversion percentages attached. That doesn't mean there's no measurable impact — it means you have to go looking for it.

Proxies for impact

  • Scale: number of people, accounts, or cases handled
  • Frequency: how often you did something and how consistently
  • Change: what was different before and after your involvement

Frame the outcome, not just the activity

"Managed a caseload of 40 clients" says more than "responsible for client management" — specificity substitutes for a number when a real number isn't available.
